Recently, a friend asked me if I fear death. I already answered this question long before. I don't. I just don't.

Early this year , my lola, whom i call "mamang" was showing signs that she's ill. Just like any other oldie she's suffering with illnesses that comes along with age. But she's not that old, and she was weak and sick. I am one of "apos" who grew up with mamang and papang. Just last september 2005 they celebrated their Golden Anniversary. They exchanged vows again. It was like a feast for our family and friends. We were all there to witness.

For six years now, I'm always away but I come home during holidays and family gatherings. last December 2005 I stayed at home for three weeks, I realized how feeble mamang became despite of the medication she's taking. Far from the image I always remember when I am away studying or working. Her being weak sent me fear. I dedicated those three weeks at home taking good care of my lola and spending it with my family. Following months, her visits to hospital became frequent. Cancer with complications caused her emaciation. Last May 2006, mamang left us for a better place.

Her death until now scares me. So afraid to lose any of my love ones. I miss mamang terribly. Terribly.

Em-puppy-ment

      I usually ride pedicab going to this net caf� from tita's house. But not today. I decided to walk, took the shortcut. To burn some calories, if I may please. I still feel heavy afterwards anyhow, with no such luck. Was feeling giddy on my way home, with no apparent reason. I was just trying to create something value-added.
      Had to pass somebody else's backyard. It wasn't anymore easy to stay calm, let alone get a laugh when I was confronted earlier by a struggling dog from being tied. I generally adore dogs. But the next moment, I caught myself shouting mommy kooo on top of my lungs. Perhaps, I missed my mum that much. But I heard my heart beat fast before my ears, as the dog ran towards me after freeing itself from its owner. He just passed me. Was so scared to my wits.
      I heard a round of laughter. Great! I lost my poise because of a puppy! Such an all-fired shame. Dogs!

Walls About Memories

      Rainy Afternoon.



      Frogs love rain. I hate frogs. But I love rain.

      Yesterday jed texted me that he's missing being sixteen. He haven't been 16 for a long time he said. I am twenty-one. He's just eighteen. Thereof, more to me than to him. Am heeding a five-year old nostlagia. Older, maybe.
      Don't quite have a retentive memory. But the rain, it keeps me from the danger of having a permanent unstructured thoughts of the past.
      Things to fo when it's raining and nostalgic: Sing and play under the rain like a child again. Walk under the rain with your closest friends. tread muds with old classmates up there in the boondocks of UPmin. and watch puddles gather rain dewy-eyed.
      Only the last options is available to me.
      I hate being 21, as i write, with white hot fervor that never fades. Maybe not. Nevertheless, I'm not liking where I am right now.
      For now.
